Last Days in Vegas

Hello Again!

Well Vegas, it's been real, but it's time to wrap it up. Here is a quick-ish rundown of our last two days....
Day 4:

We decided to chill a bit on our last day. We headed over to New York, New York so that Aron could ride the roller coaster. I don't do roller coasters :)

Cardigan & Dress: Torrid, Leggings: Mossimo, Shoes: Me Too, Purse: Jessica Simpson Collection, Hair Flower: Lola's Lovelies, Lipstick Pin: Domino Dollhouse

Badass candy Statue of Liberty at NY, NY
We had our picture taken with a lion cub at MGM:)

Later that night we headed over to The Wynn to partake in their amazing buffet. We took a stroll through their "mall".

Decor at the buffet, good grief it was gorgeous.

Some random Vegas at night shots.

Aron wanted to see a Vegas showgirl-y show, so we decided on Jubilee at Bally. I hate to say this, but it was horrible. The show was straight out of the 70s/80s, and not in a good way. We're talking Sampson and Delilah, and a cheery Titanic musical number. Here are some bad indoor pics of what I wore.

Dress: Forever 21, Cardigan: Mossimo, Necklace: ASOS
We needed a few drinks after Jubilee, so we headed back to The Mirage. I ended up at my fave slot machine. She was cruel to me that night.

After too many drinks, we headed to the Carnegie for cheesecake and fries. Had to Instagram this one.

 Day 5

All good things must come to an end. Don't you just hate the end to a fab vacation? My face says it all.

Dress: ASOS, Cardigan: Mossimo, Boots: Marshal's

We spent most of the day relaxing and getting our last bit of slot machine gambling in. Then it was time to go.

 Bye Bye Strip

 Bye Bye Desert

Well, that concludes the Vegas posting on my blog. Thanks for reading!

Happy Weekend!

To celebrate this weekend, I thought I'd share some moments from last weekend, hee hee. Really though, I've just been slacking on blogging. Sometimes, there just aren't enough hours in the day, sigh....

Aron snapped a few photos for me, then we headed out to lunch....

Dress: Torrid
Cardigan, Leggings, Bow Flats: Mossimo
Cherry Necklace and Sunglasses: Target

We ended up at Your Burger, a local chain. They serve classic burgers, but also have some healthier options. I chose the turkey burger on wheat, and Aron and I split the fries. It was yummy!

Later that night, we headed out to dinner with Ben and Tracy. We always have so much fun that I forget to snap photos :) We had drinks and dinner at Genghis Grill, and the fro yo at Sweet Cici's. It was a fun night :)

Sunday, it was time to put together the love seat we picked up at IKEA a few weeks ago. Yea, we have been super busy playing catchup from our Megacon trip. Which reminds me, I need to blog about it:)

So here is the finished product. Sweet, patient Aron put it together all by himself.

I am pretty stoked at how our living room is coming together. Just a few final touches, and it should be completed.

I also wanted to share our cool photo collage thingie. I like the off center, spiral deisgn.

Well, I am off to enjoy my Friday night! Aron and I are having dinner with friends tonight, then I'm having a girls day with Tracy and Steph tomorrow! Hope y'all have a fab weekend!

Peplum Power!

Hello Again!

I apologize for my long absence. We returned from selling our wares at Megacon early last week, so life has mainly been about playing catchup.

I know I am super late to the Oscars fashion party, but I have to discuss the peplum dresses spotted on the red carpet. My favorite dresses of the night belonged to Michelle Williams and Tina Fey.

Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton

Tina Fey in custom Carolina Herrera

Michelle's dress was jaw dropping in my opinion. I adored the color, the fabric, and the little details of the bow pin and pink clutch. Tina's look was rich and sophisticated, and looked stunning on her. What do both of these dresses have in common? They are both peplum style gowns!

I have never been a fan of peplum styles. I was under the impression that they gave women a bulky, hip-y appearance. I was hesitant about trying out this look, but decided to take the plunge a few weeks ago and try this Torrid skirt. Boy was a wrong about peplum!

Cardigan and Tank: Mossimo
Skirt: Torrid
Flats: Report
Bag: Betseyville
Sweater Clip: Vintage
Necklace & Hair Flower: Lola's Lovelies

I love this skirt immensely! It is flattering, highwaisted, and one where you can tuck in form fitting blouses. But....I must say that I am not proud of the quality of these photos! The only decent one is the first, which Aron took with my IPHONE. I have been saying this for a while now, but I will be investing in a decent camera...soon. I need to save up a bit longer, but it will happen. I've heard the Cannon Rebel is a good one. Any thoughts?

The day I wore this outfit I had lunch with Aron at Chili's. It was an emotionally draining day, but it felt good to get dressed up and spend time with my sweet husband. I also stopped off at Ross for a bit of shopping. I found 2 Betseyville bags, both for a third of the retail price!  I adore roomy, crossybody bags. My other leopard Betseyville has seen better days, so I thought it was time to replace her.

I need to add a disclaimer to my purchase postings. I am a big time bargain shopper, I refuse to pay retail for most things. So it might look like I am breaking the bank at time, but trust me, I am not. Still, I guess I should have put this money towards a new camera, huh?

I hope you are all enjoying your Thursday!

Vegas Day 1

Hello Again!

We returned from Las Vegas last Monday-booo! I want to go back right now! I love sharing my adventures with y'all, so here is the lowdown on our first day. This post is very image and link heavy, so consider yourself warned.

We arrived in Vegas hungry and ready to gamble. Food or slots? Hmmmm...well, my hungry tummy won, so we had lunch at the famous Carnegie Deli. This place doesn't play around. You can expect mile high sandwiches & huge portions of authentic New York deli fare. Did I mention the cheesecake?
After lunch, we played around with penny slots. I think I won about $40 on the Wheel of Fortune 25 cent slots. Woot!
We decided to walk around for a bit, and wandered over to The Venetian and Cesear's Palace. The Venetian still had their Winter Wonderland up, it was very cool. The tree in made of LED bubbles. Our fabulous hotel, The Mirage, is in this photo as well.
Aron made the mistake of letting me close to a Sephora, so in I went. Several cool things were purchased, which I will share in a later post. I'm wearing my Mossimo cardi and leggings, Pure Energy Dress, Pamela Love Necklace, Jessica Simpson Bag, boots I scored from Amazon.
 Ceiling at The Venetian
 Haaaaa only in Vegas!
Beautiful rose garden at The Wynn

The Wynn, the moon, & the Blue Man Group

Woot Gigi's cupcakes! We have these in Nashville too :)
 Goddess Statue at Caesar's
Caesar's had an H&M, but I was disappointed because they didn't carry big girl clothing. I thought they did, at least maybe an XXL? Oh wells...

We grabbled dinner at BLT Burger, yummm!
My "Naked Cowgirl" cocktail
 The strip
The Mirage at night
 Our room, awful photo

So, that is our first day in Vegas-Land. I will do my best to share the remaining 4 days over the next week, but I can't make any promises. Last weekend we made the drive to South Carolina to visit Aron's grandmother Emma, who is very sick. She is who is on our minds and hearts, so blogging is much less of a priority right now.

I hope you are all having a good Tuesday :)
