Hello Again,

I hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday! I wanted to share some photos I snapped of these lovely trees. Are these cherry blossoms or crabapple trees? I should know this.

These were taken outside my doctor's office! Beauty can grow in the strangest places....
Have a lovely day,

A Nugget of Snowfall

Hello Again!

I have been a busy bee this week packing orders for our businesses. Yes, the holidays are here, and as the song says, it's "the most wonderful time of the year"! Really? I'm not so sure how I feel about that.....  Honestly, I love this time of year, but we are usually too busy to enjoy it. But I really shouldn't complain :)

We did have a few flakes of snow yesterday. None of it stuck, but it was very pretty nonetheless. Being from Florida, I am still fascintated by the snow. Here is a quick little video I shot with my phone:

We attended a fun Gingerbread House Day on Sunday, much more on that later. Here is a snap of my husband's gingerbread house. His creation is a "baby gym", complete with eyeballs to babysit the little ones while they work out. Good grief.

I'll be back with more later, hope you are all enjoying your holidays!

My Favorite Thing: Woodland Creatures

I've always had a soft heart for animals, all animals. My favorites tend to be woodland creatures; bunnies, deer, and so on.

One of the rad things about living in Tennessee is that you're surrounded my wild nature. Even in our subdivision, which is quite populated, there is a little patch of wood that the animals still live in. Fortunately, that patch of wood is right behind our back yard.

Yesterday morning I was taking a shower and I hear Aron say "Adrienne, get out of the shower now." He leads me to out bedroom window and there is a deer to the left of our house, nibbling on the grassy hill. Here are some pics Aron managed to capture.

There is also a brown bunny that hops around and visits different yards. Here is a blurry iPhone pic of him (or her) :)

Hope the photos of animal cuteness brightened your Monday a bit!

A Month of Fabulous Florida Friends

Yes, I have been MIA for a few weeks. We have had some of our Florida friends come into town, and much fun was had by all!

The first week of February, our friend Annie flew up to visit. I was battling the flu at the time, and made her sick as well (which I will feel eternally horrible about). Here is a cute pic of pre-sick Annie and my husband Aron, hanging out on our backyard rocks. Annie named them RiceHenge, like StoneHenge. Annie is The Awesome.

Last week my best friends Shawna and Misti came to visit. It was so wonderful to see them again, and we had too much fun!

We had to stop by Toot's for some beer and fried noms, especially the fried pickles....

The next day we headed to downtown Nashville to honkey-tonk on Broadway.

Blurry pic of all of us.

I miss them so much! I must admit, I shed a few tears at the airport that Sunday.

More fashion posts to come this week!

Fun With Snow

This is a rather random post, but I wanted to share with you the video I recorded this morning of our backyard and the falling snow. As you all know, I am very ready for Spring, but there is something to be said for the peaceful calm of the falling snow.

This is my first time using the video feature on the camera, so please excuse the crappy technique. Please also excuse my creepy voice saying "Snowing" in the background!

Stay warm today!

Good Times in Music City

Aron's wonderful parents came to visit last week, and we all had too much fun! We spent Sunday in Nashville, and took in the fab sights of Music City.

We started our tour in front of Betty Boots

The Rice's had to get a pic with The King
Me and Aron posing

We were tempted to visit Coyote Ugly, but decided against it...

I found a new friend!

We had BBQ for lunch, then headed over to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Walking through the exhibits, it dawned on me how much I love old school country music. Johnny, Dolly, Patsy, Willie-they rule! Grover snapped this pic of me next to Patsy Cline's dress. Oh, how I love Patsy :)

And ohhhh the fashion!

It was great to spend time with Aron's parents, and we were sad to see them leave on Monday :( But it was a great visit, and we look forward to seeing them again soon!

February will bring more Floridians our way: our friend Annie, and my BFFs Shawna and Misti! Woot!

Hope you are having a great day (or night)!

Happy New Year! ....and Evans Review Part Deux

Happy New Year to all of my fab followers! I want to thank every one of you for following my silly blog, and for all of your comments and support :)

I am still unsure of the direction I want to move my blog in. I love doing OOTD (Fashion Nuggets), but also enjoy slice of life posts, food reviews, and general randomness. What kind of posts would you like to see more of in the future?

Last night we attended a party at The Hobbs home, and it was too much fun! I ended up wearing the Leaf Print Minidress I ordered from Evans. I must say, I simply love it :) Aron was my photographer, lol.....

Leaf Print Dress: Evans
Leggings: ?
Necklace: Vintage from Aron's grandmother

Here are some pictures from the party and the bonfire. Notice Cristal and I really love a White Russian, lol.

Fun was had by all!

Well, it is now 2011. I have a few New Years Resolutions, but my main one is to lose about 40-50 pounds so I can finally get off of my high blood pressure meds. I lost about 15-17 last year (it fluctuates lol), but I think this is the year to just get it over with. Even after the weight loss I will not be "super skinny" per se, but it really has very little to do with vanity at this point. In 2010 I actually began to like who I see in the mirror, and that has been a major breakthrough for me. I think blogging has helped me love myself a little bit more :) What are your New Years Resolutions?

Off to play the Wii and take down X-Mas decorations.

I wish you all love and happiness in the upcoming year!

Pigeon Forge really loves Christmas.....and pancakes!

Yes, that is my sweet Aron driving us to Adventure Con in Pigeon Forge, TN. We were ready for the excitement to begin, but unfortunately, it never really did. The show was a bust-we did manage to break even, but the attendance was horrible. But, at least we got to see some pretty scenery, and sell a few books!

We got stuck in a crappy traffic jam, people felt the need to stare at the construction workers chillin' on the side of the road.

This is the flyer for the convention, it really brings the LOLs.

Rockin' HK in the Motel 6, yea buddy!

The beautiful stream behind the convention center. So peaceful....

Badass display I set up, woot! Wish there had been more people there to buy our stuff :(

The best costume of the show :)

Rad costume, one of the Dark Crystal creatures.

Uhhhh, who are you? heh heh

Sandman looking at our funny books.

Pigeon Forge really loves Christmas....and pancakes! For realz......

Don't the mountains make a great backdrop for the sex shops and outlet malls?

View of the Smokies from the convention center. Gorgeous.

So, the trip wasn't a great financial success, but we saw some gorgeous scenery, and had a good time overall :) I will blog some more fashion-wise later.
