Shower Attire

Hello Again!

Here is a quick little fashion nugget for your viewing pleasure. I wore this Torrid dress and cardigan to my friend Becca's bridal shower a few weeks ago. The dress has some odd seaming at the bust, so it needed the coverage of the cropped cardigan.
Cardigan and dress: Torrid
Shoes: TJMaxx
Sunnies: Target

The shower was fun! We made a fabulous toilet paper wedding dress and watched the bride to be open her fab pressies.
Have a good one!

Annie's Visit Part Two

Hello Again!

Here are some more nuggets from Annie's visit to Tennessee!

We headed up to Nashville Sunday afternoon and walking Broadway and 2nd Ave.
Me and The King. I love my apple shirt from Forever 21+!
Hi Mr. Horsey Man!
Such a sad yet sweet story about this doggy.
I have many memories of The Attic (now closed) in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. I found another one in Nashville!
We headed over to the Hard Rock for foodage. I started with a yummy Blues Riff cocktail.
Had to get a burger.
Hole was everything in the 90s
Set list and gold record
The Pumpkins

We miss Annie dearly, and it was awesome to see her! We hope to make the trip back home to Florida soon to visit her and all of our friends and family.

Have a good one!

Annie Visit Part One

Hello Again!

A few weeks ago, our rad friend Annie paid us a fun little visit! We ate good country food, drank a little moonshine, and got lost listening to a Flaming Lips mixtape. To hear more about our shenanigans, read on.....

Aron had to work for some of the visit so Annie and I braved this local Mediterranean restaurant alone. The food was sub par, but check out the new friend we made!
Saturday night, we all headed down to The Loveless Cafe in Nashville. If you live in the Middle Tennessee area and haven't eaten at The Loveless, then you are truly missing out. It is country food done right.

During the day, Aron and Annie had visited McKay Books while I was at my friend Becca's bridal shower. They found this little golden nugget, which they rightfully assumed contained tracks of the Flaming Lips covering their favorite jams.
Well, it ended up being more of a mixtape of some of the band's favorite ditties. There were some interesting choices to say the least. There was one song The Flaming Lips actually covered, The White Stripe's Seven Nation Army. It was joyously disturbing.

So, we were headed out to the Loveless listening to this CD, and we noticed that our journey was taking a bit longer than anticipated. The GPS decided to take us in a circle, through Natchez Trace State Park. At one point we saw signs for Tupelo, 141 miles, and I thought we were doomed. But, eventually we came full circle and ended up at The Loveless. It was worth the drive!

Generally, there is at least a 1-2 hour wait for a seat in the restaurant, but we did the "call ahead seating" deal, so our wait was less than an hour. We looked around at some of the shops at the restaurant, and found some cool things.
 Hee Hee
A Moon Pie and an RC Cola, it's a Southern thing :)
The Loveless makes their own peanut brittle, and this version has a little bacon added. It was pretty good!

Some pics were snapped with the brittle while we waited :)
Dinner was awesome! The Loveless is known for their biscuits, they are amazing.
Annie and I both had a Watermelon Crawl, which contained moonshine. They also came with their own mini Mason jar to keep!
I had the sampler plate, which was super yummy, but was a ridiculous amount of food. Let's just say I had breakfast the next morning.
This is their Elvis tribute pie. Banana, peanut butter, marshmallow, and bacon (yep) chunks. The bacon was a bit much, but it was yum. This was another dish that was shared between us for breakfast the next day.

We all went home and passed out from food overload. Well, at least Aron and I did. Annie stayed up until about 1:30 chilling and painting her nails. She joked that moonshine must give her energy!

More later!

The party was a Pure Romance party. I'll spare you the details :)

I should have rated this post adults only.

Little Black Dress

Hello Again!

There is something about a little black dress that makes me feel sophisticated, stylish, and sassy. All of the important "s" words.
Dress: Torrid (old)
Studded Clutch Bag: TJ Maxx
Seashell Necklace: Dragonfly in St Augustine
Sandals: Peebles (old)

I wore this little (old) number out to dinner a few weeks ago. A friend of mine, Brandi, was in town for a conference, and Aron and I met her and her friends at Bosco's in downtown Nashville. The company was great, and I had one of the best burgers of my life. Overall, it was a fab night.

Have a good one!
