My Favorite Thing: Pinup Girl Style, Part 2

A little while back, I wrote a Favorite Thing post titled Pinup Girl Style which has received quite a few looksies. I thought it would be fun to do a follow up post!

I have had an obsession with retro/vintage style since I was in my teens. All through high school, I was the "odd" girl in the vintage coats & dresses, wide headbands, cats eye eyeliner. My style has evolved a bit over the years, but I am still a huge fan of pinup & rockabilly looks. This is most evident in my selections for my website, Lola-Rocks Clothing. We carry some sweet retro styles, and you can win a $30 credit through out blog giveaway here! Sorry for the shameless plug, but it had to happen :)

Here are some of my favorite pinup styles and inspiration of late:

Tropical and Tiki pinup have been huge fashion inspirations for me lately. Elvgren was such an amazing artist!

I've been hunting for some tropical pieces of clothing, and found then gem at Torrid for half off.

This dress by Pinup Girl Clothing is everything. One day it will be mine.

As always, I am obsessed with leopard.

I had to have this dress from Dorothy Perkins. It is comfortable and chic, I adore it.

At Lola-Rocks, we have this fab Bettie Page purse. It is a classic frame style bag with the traditional leopard print.
I like this pinup look I achieved for day one of the Full Moon Horror and Tattoo Festival.

Here are a couple of ladies in the pinup/rockabilly world who inspire me. First is Michelline Pit, designer for Deadly Dames, makeup artist, and more. I love her hair tutorial videos. I still haven't mastered these techniques, but I'm trying.

Secondly, is Go-Go Amy, founder of the Pretty Things Peepshow. I had the opportunity to see them perform back in 2008, and I'm excited to say I will see them again at the Beatersvlle Car Show in May.

Also, I am going to be taking Go Go Amy's Pinup class at Boudoir Louisville, and I am thrilled! Here is a video of a past class.

So, that does it for Pinup Girl Style Part Deux. Hope you enjoyed!
